There are two stories about the origin of Long Island iced tea: the first story, in 1920, the United States issued prohibition, a bar on Long Island bartenders secretly sold alcohol to customers, when they suddenly met the police to check the prohibition of illicit alcohol, the bartender hastily mixed all kinds of spirits together, falsely claiming to sell ice tea, surprisingly fooled the police, inadvertently created this new variety of cocktails, it was named “Long Island Iced Tea”. Ingredients

  • ½ oz vodka
  • ½ oz rum
  • ½ oz gin
  • ½ oz tequila
  • ½ oz lemon juice
  • ½ oz cointreau
  • 1 oz cola,(or depending on taste)
  • 1 slice of lemon

Instructions

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour vodka, rum, gin, tequila, lemon juice, cointreau and sour mix over ice; cover and shake. Pour cocktail into a Collins or hurricane glass; top with splash of cola for color. Garnish with a lemon slice.
